5 top phone choices for gifting in the UK right now are the iPhone 18 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy
S26 Ultra, Google Pixel 10 Pro, OnePlus 15, and Google Pixel 10a. Each gift phone is a different
budget and recipient type, from premium Apple loyalists to someone who just wants a solid
smartphone under £500.

iPhone 18 Pro Max: Best for Apple Users

Apple announced this model on September 9, 2026, alongside its first foldable, the iPhone Duo,
so this is the newest safe, no-compromise gift for anyone inside Apple’s ecosystem. The A20
Pro offers

 the new variable-aperture camera makes average holiday photos look professional
 battery life with the biggest single-generation jump Apple has shipped
Pros: longest battery life of any iPhone yet, variable-aperture camera, seamless AirDrop and
iMessage integration with other Apple devices.

Con: starts at £1,299 in the UK, so it’s a serious spend for a gift.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Best Android Flagship

For someone who wants Android at its most capable, this is the pick. The S Pen makes it
genuinely useful for note-taking and sketching and the display is one of the best on the market.
Pros: S Pen included, strong long-term software support, top-tier display.
Con: large and heavy, feels more like a small tablet in the pocket.

Google Pixel 10 Pro: Best Camera and AI Features

If the recipient cares more about photos than raw specs, this is the strongest gift on the list.
Google’s AI processing turns mediocre shots into aesthetic ones, and the clean Android
software gets years of updates.

Pros: excellent computational photography, clean interface, strong update commitment.
Con: Tensor G5 lags Apple’s chip on raw speed, though most people won’t notice day to day.

OnePlus 15: Best Value Flagship

This is where the best gift phone deals in the UK actually live for value-conscious buyers. You
get flagship-level performance and a genuinely good camera for meaningfully less than Apple or
Samsung’s top models, which makes it the strongest budget pick.

Pros: excellent price-to-performance ratio, fast charging.

Con: software support window is shorter than Apple’s or Google’s.

Google Pixel 10a: Best Budget Gift

Under £500, this is the answer for “I want to gift a good phone without overspending.” It won’t
match the flagships on camera or speed, but it covers:

 reliable performance
 a decent camera
 Google’s clean software

Pros: strong value, solid camera for the price, long update cycle for a budget device.
Con: noticeably slower under heavy multitasking.
